A Message From our Principal, Mrs. Yanta

Howdy, Longhorn Family!

It was another GReat week at The Ranch!

We kicked off our first themed dress-up day, “Sandy Toes & Game Day Pros,” and our staff and students brought the spirit! Congratulations to the English & World Languages Departments for taking the win among our staff, and to our Cheerleaders for being named the student winners!

We have officially completed our first three weeks of school, which means progress reports will be available on Tuesday. Students and parents, please make it a habit to check Skyward frequently and reach out for help when you need it. Staying informed and asking for support early are two important steps toward success!

Be sure to check out the upcoming dates in this week’s newsletter. We have two exciting events on the horizon:

Open House — September 8
Community Homecoming Pep Rally — September 30

The Community Homecoming Pep Rally is a new event for The Ranch, and we can't wait to bring our Longhorn community together! Be sure to check the flyers for more information.

Finally, a quick reminder about dress code expectations. We are still seeing too many students arriving at school with their midriff showing. Here’s an easy way to check: raise your hand like you are answering a question in class. If your midriff shows when your hand is raised, please choose a different top for school.

Have a GReat Sunday, Longhorn Nation, as we welcome the month of September!

One Herd. One Heartbeat.
1% Better Every Day.

Seniors! Cap & Gown, Class Rings, and "Save the Date"

Please stay up to date with the information in the Class of 2027 section of this newsletter. A representative from Dilly will be on campus on September 9 for a senior presentation that will include information about ordering graduation caps and gowns, as well as optional merchandise such as class rings.
Please note that a cap and gown purchased through Dilly is required to participate in the LCISD graduation ceremony.
Also included this week is the “Save the Date” flyer for Seniors. Please be aware that the annual Car Parade has been cancelled due to declining attendance. The Car Parade began during COVID as a way to celebrate our seniors while following social-distancing guidelines. Over the past few years, attendance has declined significantly, so the decision was made to discontinue the event and replace it with another senior celebration.
This year, we are excited to replace the Car Parade with our Community Homecoming Pep Rally on September 30! We look forward to celebrating our seniors and bringing our entire Longhorn community together for this special event.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we work together to maintain a strong campus culture and create meaningful experiences for our Longhorns!
