Summer School

The Summer School Flyer is now available! Please click on the attachments below for more details of what LCISD is offering.

If you are taking original credit to get ahead, you can self-register and pay starting April 14thIf you need summer school to make up a credit/failed semester, your school counselor will register you and there is no cost.

Distance Learning Course Information

If you plan to take a course outside of LCISD (including summer or year-round courses), you must complete the required form before enrolling. Submit the form to your counselor in room 2327 or email it to them. 

Distance Learning Approval Form

Important Guidelines for Out-of-District Courses:

  • Only courses from Texas Tech University K12, University of Texas K12, or Texas Virtual School Network (TxVSN) are approved.
  • No online courses that require STAAR End of Course exams (Algebra I, Biology, English I & II, U.S. History).
  • Students can earn up to two (2) credits for original online courses (not for credit recovery).
  • One online course at a time, unless approved by the principal.
  • Approval is needed for out-of-district courses after completing 8th grade.
  • All prerequisites and grade level requirements apply.
