What This Achievement Means:

Let’s make sure every Longhorn gets home safely! We had a near miss in the parking lot this past week, and it’s an important reminder that a few extra seconds of patience can make all the difference.

As you leave campus, slow down, follow the traffic flow, and stay in your aisle as you proceed to the exit driveway. Please do not cut across open parking spaces or race around to the aisle behind the natatorium to get ahead of the line. Getting there a little faster is never worth putting yourself or someone else at risk.

Show your Longhorn pride behind the wheel: be patient, be courteous, and look out for one another. Driving at GRHS is a privilege, and with that privilege comes the responsibility to make safe choices every time you get behind the wheel. Unsafe driving may result in consequences.

Drive smart. Be kind. Get home safe.

Longhorn Nation, we have an exciting learning opportunity coming to The Ranch!

George Ranch High School will host Law Day from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM in the GRHS bus parking lot, giving some of our Maroon Track students an opportunity to explore the many career possibilities within the Law and Public Service pathway.

Students will have the chance to visit interactive booths, talk with professionals, and learn about careers with a variety of agencies and organizations. From law enforcement and public safety to other law and public service professions, students will discover career pathways, educational opportunities, and real-world experiences they may not have previously considered.

A friendly note to our GRHS neighbors: If you happen to see an especially large number of first responders or emergency vehicles around The Ranch that day, please know that it is all part of the fun! 🚔🚒 Our community partners will be on campus participating in Law Day, giving our students an up-close opportunity to learn about the important work they do. There is no cause for concern—we are simply excited to welcome our community partners to campus!

We are incredibly grateful to the professionals and organizations who are taking time to share their expertise with our Longhorns and help them discover the many ways they can serve, lead, and make a difference in their communities.

Parents and families are invited to join us for our Community Homecoming Pep Rally on Wednesday, September 30, at the George Ranch Football Field! This is a FREE event! 

Gates will open at 6:30 PM, and the event will begin at 7:00 PM. The evening will feature a live DJ, exciting performances from our Cheer Team, Dance Team, Longhorn Steppers, and Latin Crew, and recognition of our football team as we celebrate Homecoming week together.

We will also recognize the Top 20 Homecoming Court members and announce this year's finalists. In addition, our student clubs and sports teams will proudly showcase their decorated Homecoming wagons.

Guests can enjoy concessions as well as a variety of sweet treat food trucks throughout the event.

Please note: For safety and security reasons, only individuals wearing an official wristband will be permitted access to the field.

We look forward to seeing our community come together for an evening of school spirit, celebration, and Homecoming tradition! Go Longhorns!

CALLING ALL SENIORS!! You will find valuable information about Project Graduation (PROGRAD) here. The cost to join ProGrad is $30. This gets you into the night of graduation fun. There will be plenty of opportunities to earn points which will earn you more chances to win great prizes that evening. For more information, be sure to follow us on Instagram  and join the GroupMe as well.

You can purchase them at ProGrad T-Shirt . Even better, there are options for senior mom and dad shirts as well! A portion of shirt sales will be donated back to the 2027 ProGrad group! Please follow the instructions on the form.

Senior Serve is fast approaching so gather some friends and have a memorable night helping earn money for a fun graduation night. Please use this link  Senior Serve Sign Up!   To sign up for senior night, the deadline is OCTOBER 8th. Cost for Senior Serve is $140 which includes the ProGrad fee!

Lastly, don't forget to keep an eye out for spirit nights at local restaurants and hangouts. These generous and wonderful businesses give back a portion of sales to our group when you mention George Ranch 2027 ProGrad!
